Snowman at Night

By Mrs. Little's Second Grade Students Read a Winter Book
Write a Winter Poem
I am a snowman at night.
I wonder who will win the midnight baseball game.
I hear snowmen slurping chilly cold cocoa made
by snow mothers.
I see snowmen ice skating at the park.
I want to race some more.
I am a snowman at night.

I pretend to be a clown.
I feel like having fun.
I touch the icy snow and make snow angels.
I worry about melting.
I cry when my head falls off.
I am a snowman at night.

I understand snowman talk.
I say “WAAHOOOOOO” as I sled down the icy hills.
I dream about last night’s fun.
I try to keep secret what snowmen do at night.
I hope for more fun tomorrow.
I am a snowman at night.
